Is there something in life that will give you complete satisfaction? Like a job or relationship or something? Does everyone have something that does this for them or only some people? And do they all find it? Or is life just a search for satisfaction? It seems like people from past civilizations were more spiritual and had much more satisfaction with life. But obviously some people now are satisfied with life as well. When George Eastman was 78, he killed himself and left a note saying his work was done. He had accomplished everything he wanted to do and killed himself. He accomplished what he set out to do but it didn’t give him any real satisfaction with life or any reason to continue living after that. It just seems like there should be something out there that would just give you inner peace and allow you to be satisfied with life and be happy. But I’m not sure that there is.
